Karma for Villain Campaigns

Karma Rewards and losses

\"\"

Karma is a funny thing, sometimes its in your favor, sometimes it bites you in the ass. While this game is a game for villains, not heroes, they still need a karma \"reward\" system for the deeds they do. After thinking about this, jotting down ideas and help from the Classic Marvel Forever forum folks, I\'ve come up with these possible rewards and losses. Please note that some rewards and loses are not listed here as roleplay and situational rewards/losses happen.

Killing Rules for Karma

While I don't approve of a game where characters are running around as murder hobos, we have to face the facts, villains are bad guys, they will kill. Killing awards are handed out once per category per session. Example, should the group go on a killing spree, and wipe out an area and topple down buildings (has happened) they would be awarded the karma, but should they go and do it again in the same session, they wouldn't get the karma reward again. Example 2, the group faces against 4 no name/unknown heroes they would get only 50 karma, not 50 per each member. They would get more karma rewarded for beating the crap out of them in the public, which will cause the heroes to lose popularity.

Rewards

Killing innocent people 15 or more - 100 Karma
Killing a no-name superhero - 50 Karma
Killing a neighborhood known superhero - 65 Karma
Killing a Regionally known Superhero - 75 Karma
Killing a Worldwide known Superhero - 100 Karma

Penalities

Purposely Killing or destroying lackeys, henchmen or any assistants of any kind - 30 karma per kill/destroy.

(accidental deaths are on a case by case basis from GM)
